Throughout this week we’ve seen that there
are two types of wisdom: human wisdom and divine wisdom. Because of the Fall,
our capacity for insight is greatly limited and regardless of how wise we are,
we still fall short of perfection. But as Believers, that should no longer be
the case for us.
1Co 1:30 says the first thing Christ Jesus
is made unto us is WISDOM, then righteousness, and sanctification, and
redemption. We have the Wisdom of God residing right within us, therefore, we
cannot fail.
The wisdom of God is not something
farfetched. We do not have to climb the mountains of the Himalayas, or crawl
through dark, dank caverns in Mexico in order to attain wisdom. God’s wisdom is
with us all the time.
Wisdom should not be a scarce commodity for
you if you’re a Believer. Moses says it aptly when he addressed the Israelites,
“For this commandment which I command you this day, it is not hidden from
you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall
go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea
for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word
is very near unto you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.
(Deu 30:11-14)
In 1Co 1:24 Paul calls Christ “the wisdom
of God”. Simply being with Jesus alone
is enough to make you wise, (Pro 13:20). When the Priests and Sadducees saw the
wisdom of the uneducated fishermen disciples (Act 4:13), they concluded it had
something to do with their association with Jesus.
Beloved, Jesus is our wisdom, not the perverted
sensual wisdom that the world offers, but the type that James describes as “the
wisdom that is from above”: pure, peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of
mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (Jas 3:17)
You are blessed and advantaged; you have
Christ, the wisdom of God in you. You cannot, and will not, fail in this life.
AMEN.
More Blessings await you today; you’ll not
miss them in Jesus’ Name.
